Welcome to Bayside Cottages, overlooking Prince Edward Island’s beautiful Covehead Bay. Our cottages provide the serenity of bayside country living, while at the same time offering a host of activities and access to Charlottetown, the province’s capitol, located only minutes away. Whatever you’re looking for, from complete relaxation to taking part in summer festivals and activities, it’s close by.

Within walking distance of Bayside Cottages, you can relax or swim at one of PEI’s renowned sandy beaches, stroll the bay’s boardwalk, take a deep-sea fishing excursion, or play a round of golf at the Stanhope Golf and Country Club. Back at your cottage, you can unwind on the deck or barbecue some fresh fish. Or if you need a vacation from cooking, enjoy a delicious meal at nearby restaurants – Richard's Eatery on Covehead Wharf and Stanhope Beach Resort are within walking distance. We’re ideally located between Charlottetown, and, in the opposite direction, Cavendish, the home of Anne of Green Gables and her creator, L.M. Montgomery.

We’re open May through October, with each season providing a distinctive background for your stay at our cottages. Summer on the island is alive with activity. Festivals and special events are abundant and range from theatre at the Charlottetown Festival to Celtic, Acadian, and classical music festivals, from lobster suppers to provincial exhibitions and sailing regattas. Of course, the scenery is one of our main attractions. P.E.I. offers a spectacular multitude of greens, deep blue water, picturesque villages, and some of the best beaches in the world.

Spring and fall also offer their own unique seasonal activity on the island, from ceildhs and concerts, to harness racing and hockey. Fall is when the island displays its reds and golds as the leaves change colour and the crops in the farmer’s fields are harvested.
